I succeeded in writing more, thanks to automating the process.
Here is a Makefile that holds the basic steps.
In short:
Does it harm the quality of my work? I do not think so.
I care about the novelty of the ideas and the output quality. Hence, I provide a lot of context and I review and edit the output. I can imagine that is not a given with all users of GenAI. Even the writing style should be quite aligned with my own, as I have written sufficient posts myself or with myself in a close loop that these are effectively few-shot examples.
My only worry would be that I am a poor writer (probably true) and that I keep propagating that from now on.
GenAI might be the salvation here too, as I continuously ask for feedback. Who could ever say they have one of the most well-read entities giving them continuous feedback?
